Khint terms of use.
These terms govern your use of the Khint macOS application and this marketing site (together, the "Service"). By installing, signing into, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
1. Who provides the Service
The Service is provided by KAZOUINI MOHAMED-AMINE, entrepreneur individuel registered in France (SIREN 102 311 560, R.C.S. Paris), based at 52 rue Dutot, 75015 Paris, France ("Khint", "we", "us"). Contact: [email protected]. See also our legal notice.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. You can use most of the Service without an account; cloud sync and Premium require signing in via Clerk. You are responsible for keeping your credentials safe and for activity under your account.
3. Pricing and subscriptions
- Free tier: 10 AI actions per day + 5 OCR captures per day.
- Premium: €9.99/month for unlimited AI actions and 50 OCR captures per day, plus cloud sync across machines and priority queue at peak load. Also available at €7.99/month billed annually. Billed via Stripe. To cancel, email us — a self-serve cancel button inside the app is on the roadmap.
- Pricing changes: we may adjust pricing during the beta. We will not change pricing retroactively for an existing active subscription. New pricing applies on renewal after notice.
- Refunds: we offer a refund within 14 days of first purchase if you have not used a meaningful share of your quota and you ask via email. After 14 days, refunds are discretionary.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Do anything illegal under applicable law.
- Generate content that violates Anthropic's usage policies (Khint is built on Anthropic's API; their policies apply transitively).
- Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the Service in anti-competitive ways, beyond what is permitted by law.
- Run automated scrapers, bots, or load-tests against our backend without prior written agreement.
- Use the Service to harm minors, harass others, or generate content designed to mislead at scale.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules. In serious cases (illegal activity, abuse) we may suspend without notice.
5. Your content
You own the text you put into Khint and the text Khint pastes back. We don't claim any rights to your inputs or outputs. You grant us a strictly limited, non-exclusive license to process your content as needed to operate the Service (run actions, sync to your other Macs, render in the action history). We do not use your content to train models.
6. Our content
The Khint name, logo, marketing copy, app source, and built-in Action library are owned by us. You may not copy or redistribute them except as necessary to use the Service. Press use of the logo and screenshots is welcome — the press kit will land in a future update.
7. AI output disclaimer
AI actions are powered by a third-party model (Anthropic Claude). Outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your purpose. You are responsible for reviewing AI output before relying on it — especially for legal, medical, financial, or safety-critical use.
8. Beta status, changes, and availability
Khint is in private beta. Features may change, break, or be removed. We aim to give notice for material changes but don't promise specific uptime, latency, or feature continuity at this stage. We may modify these terms over time and will update the "Last updated" date below. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.
9. Warranty disclaimer
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the extent permitted by law. We don't warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) €50. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages (lost profits, lost data, business interruption). Nothing in these terms excludes liability we cannot exclude under law, such as for fraud or wilful misconduct.
11. Termination
You can stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the app and (if subscribed) cancelling Premium. We can suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms. On termination, you can request deletion of cloud-synced data per the Privacy policy.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by French law. Disputes will be resolved by the competent courts of France, subject to any consumer-protection rules that grant you a stronger forum under your local law.
