Draft the hard reply, send it calm and clear
The tenth reply of the day comes out blunter than the first. Khint keeps your answer and fixes the delivery: write the facts the fast way, run a saved AI action, and a clear, warm reply in your team's voice is pasted back into the reply box, from one keyboard shortcut.
The answer is easy,
the wording is the work
Most support replies fail on delivery, not on facts: the answer is right but it opens with a “no”, buries the next step, or carries the impatience of a long shift. Rewriting for tone is exactly the kind of repeated judgment that erodes under volume, and one blunt reply to an already-angry customer costs more than the ten minutes it saves. Khint compresses the rewrite with its three pillars, Agents, Capture, and Memory, wired together behind one palette, so the polish happens in the reply box, not in a chatbot tab.
One escalation, start to send
From a heated thread to a reply you would sign, without leaving the helpdesk.
Clone the Support Desk starter pack
On Agents, open Browse starter packs and add Support Desk. It ships three working actions: Reply polish (rewrite a draft as a clear, warm customer reply that leads with the answer), Tone soften (keep every fact, drop the bluntness), and Bug from thread for when the conversation turns into an engineering ticket. Reshape the prompts to your house style with Improve, or write your own from a one-line description with Generate.
Open a Memory session for the escalation
For a thread that will take more than one exchange, start a Memory session named after it. Every action you run is logged there and Khint keeps a compact running summary that rides along on each call, so by the third reply the model already knows what was promised in the first. On the email channel, the Gmail Pull thread row pulls the conversation into the session so you are not re-explaining the history to yourself either.
Write the ugly version, then polish it
Type the reply the fast way: facts, no ceremony. Select it in the helpdesk's reply box, hit Cmd+Shift+K, run Reply polish. Back comes a reply that leads with the answer, keeps it under 140 words, and ends with a concrete next step, pasted right where your cursor was. You never left the tab, and the customer never sees the draft.
Heated thread? Soften without grovelling
When the customer is angry and your honest answer is “no”, run Tone soften: it keeps every fact and every decision, adds brief empathy up front, and closes with a clear next step, no over-apology. The pack's Polish reply workflow chains both actions, so one keystroke takes a hurried draft through polish and tone in a single pass. How Workflows chain actions →
On email? Send it without leaving the palette
Connect Gmail once on the MCP page and the palette gains a Send email row: it gathers the recipient and subject, shows you a preview, and only sends after you explicitly type yes. Prefer a safety net? Create draft leaves the polished reply in your Gmail drafts instead. Either way the exchange is logged to your Memory session, so the escalation keeps its own record.
Same facts, better delivery
The prompts are yours to shape: this is one example of what the pack's Reply polish and Tone soften can do to a hurried draft.
No, that's not a bug. Exports stop at 500 rows on your plan. Split it by date range or upgrade to Growth if you need more.
Exports on your current plan stop at 500 rows, which is why the file cuts off early. Sorry that wasn't clearer in the app. Two ways forward: split the export into date ranges, or the Growth plan removes the cap entirely. Want me to send over the comparison?
Nothing in the rewrite is invented: the cap, the workaround, and the upgrade path all came from the draft. The action's job is order and tone (answer first, empathy without grovelling, one concrete next step), and because it is a saved prompt, the standard is the same at 9am and at 6pm, for every agent who cloned the pack.
Why not paste the thread into a chatbot?
You can, and you'll re-describe your house voice every chat, get a slightly different register each time, and copy the result back by hand while the customer waits. Khint pins the voice: the polish action is written once and runs identically on every reply, Memory carries what was already promised in the thread into each call, and the result is pasted straight back into the reply box. Because an Action only sees the text you select (with an optional Redact PII flag stripping emails and phone numbers first), your customers' threads aren't accumulating in a chatbot's history. And when the conversation turns out to be a bug, the same pack hands off to triage and ticket filing without switching tools.
Common questions
How does Khint keep replies in our team's voice?
The voice lives in a saved Action, not in how you phrased today's chat. The Support Desk starter pack ships a working Reply polish prompt (lead with the answer, short paragraphs, end with a concrete next step) that you reshape into your house style once: your greeting rules, your refund language, your escalation phrasing. From then on every run applies the same standard. If you own a Khint team, Share the pack and every agent who joins clones the same actions, so the standard is one prompt, not a wiki page nobody reads.
Is this the same as AI ticket triage?
No, it is the other half of the job. Triage looks inward: judge urgency, strip noise, file a clean ticket for engineering. That is covered on the AI ticket triage for support leads page. Reply drafting looks outward: the words the customer actually receives. The Support Desk pack carries both halves (Bug from thread for the ticket, Reply polish and Tone soften for the reply), but they are different moves with different prompts.
Does Khint plug into Zendesk, Intercom, or Front?
There is no helpdesk-specific integration, and you don't need one for this: Khint works on selected text in any app. Select the customer's message or your rough draft in the helpdesk's browser tab, hit the shortcut, and the polished reply is pasted back where your cursor was. For email-channel support there is a real Gmail integration: connect it once on the MCP page and the palette gains Send email (it gathers the recipient and subject, shows you a preview, and only sends after you type yes) and Create draft rows.
The thread is full of customer PII. Does that go to the model?
Only the text you select is sent, and you can strip identifiers from even that. Each Action has an opt-in Redact PII flag: when it is on, emails, phone numbers, and account identifiers like SSNs and IBANs are replaced with placeholders before the text reaches the model. The starter pack's Bug from thread action ships with it already on, and you can flip it on for your reply actions too. See redacting PII before AI for the details.
Where does the customer's message go?
An Action only ever sees the text you selected, plus the compacted summary of your active Memory session if you opted in. Memory sessions live in a local SQLite database on your Mac and are never synced to Khint's servers, and your Gmail connection uses OAuth with the token stored on your machine. The thread history stays in your helpdesk; nothing leaves your device silently.
