The standup readout, written while you talk
Fifteen minutes of standup turns into a scribble nobody reads twice. Khint reshapes that scribble into a clean Yesterday / Today / Blockers summary with one reusable AI action, keeps the thread day-to-day with Memory, and posts the readout to your Slack channel from the same keyboard shortcut.
The notes are useless
five minutes after the call
You scribble fast because the standup moves fast: half-sentences, names, a blocker you'll “follow up on later”. By the time anyone who missed it asks “what did I miss?”, the notes are unreadable and the blocker is gone. Rewriting them into something shareable is a five-minute tax you pay every single morning, so usually you don't. Khint turns that rewrite into one shortcut, stitched together from its three pillars: Agents, Capture, and Memory, so the async readout writes itself while the call is still warm.
One standup, one clean readout
From a half-typed scribble to a summary the channel can skim.
Open a session for the recurring standup
Before the call, start a Memory session: “Daily standup, web squad”. Everything you run is logged to it, and Khint keeps a compact running summary that rides along on each AI Action. So when yesterday's “still blocked on the staging deploy” shows up again, today's draft already has the thread. How Memory works →
Jot the standup the way you always do
A line or two per person, half-typed, abbreviations and all: “Ana: finished the export fix, today the CSV edge case, blocked on QA env”. Khint doesn't need it tidy. It works on whatever text you select, wherever you keep it: a planning doc, a Slack draft, a scratch note. No special format, no template to fill in first.
Run one Action to shape the summary
In Agents, save an Action like “Standup summary” that returns a clean Yesterday / Today / Blockers readout grouped by person. No prompt yet? Type a one-line description and press Generate; tighten it later with Improve. Select your scribble, hit Cmd+Shift+K, run it. The structured version is pasted right back where you were typing.
Pull a blocker off a screen you can't copy
When a blocker lives in a screenshot a teammate dropped (a stack trace, a failing pipeline, a greyed-out button), use Capture to lift the text off the image and into your notes, then fold it into the same summary. No retyping an error code by hand from a picture. Capturing text from screenshots →
Post it to the team and move on
With Slack connected on the Integrationspage, the palette's Slack Post row drops the finished summary into your channel, one destination per run, so the send is always deliberate. The one blocker that actually needs tracking? File it as a real issue with the same shortcut. Standup blockers into tickets →
Scribble in, readout out
One example of what a standup-summary Action might return. The shape is whatever you put in the prompt.
Nothing about this layout is baked into Khint. The columns above are just an example. The structure lives entirely in the Action prompt you save, so a team that wants a flat bullet list, a team that groups by workstream, and a team that flags only blockers each get the readout they asked for. Adjust it over time with Improve, and reuse the same Action every morning.
Why not just paste the notes into a chatbot?
You can, and every morning you'll re-explain the format you want, re-supply yesterday's context, and copy the result into Slack by hand. Khint removes the round-trips: the summary Action is saved once and reused on every standup, Memory carries the recurring thread into each prompt automatically, and the Slack Postrow sends the readout where the team will actually read it. Because an Action only sees the text you select (plus the session summary you opted into), your team's daily blockers aren't sitting in a chat history on someone else's server. Need the blockers tracked rather than broadcast? Pair this with standup notes to tickets.
Common questions
Does Khint record or transcribe the standup?
No. Khint never listens to audio or joins the call. You jot the same quick notes you always do (a line or two per person in a doc, a Slack draft, or a notepad), then select that scribble and run an AI Action that reshapes it into a clean Yesterday / Today / Blockers summary. The model only ever sees the text you selected, so nothing about the standup is captured unless you typed it yourself.
How is this different from turning standup notes into tickets?
Different output. Turning standup notes into tickets splits each blocker line into its own filed Jira or Linear issue. See the standup notes to tickets use case for that. This page is about the daily readout itself: one tidy async summary the whole team can skim, posted once to a channel. You'll often do both: format the summary here, then file the one blocker that actually needs tracking. They share the same shortcut and the same Action editor.
Can it post the summary to Slack automatically?
It posts when you trigger it, never in the background. Once you save your Slack token on Khint's Integrations page, the palette gains a Slack Post row: after the AI Action formats the summary, run Post to drop it into your team channel, one destination per run, so every send is explicit. Prefer email or a wiki? The Gmail Send and Confluence Create page rows publish the same text the same way.
Does it remember what was blocked yesterday?
If you keep a Memory session open for the recurring standup, the compacted running context rides along with each AI Action, so today's draft already knows the thread when the same blocker resurfaces. Khint logs everything you run and keeps a short summary of the session. Sessions live in a local SQLite database on your machine and are never synced to Khint's servers.
