  1. Connect your stack once, from the MCP page

    Open the MCPpage in Khint and connect the tools you live in: Atlassian for Jira and Confluence, plus Linear, Notion, Slack, and Gmail.     In Agents, save an Action once (say “Turn this thread into a bug ticket”) and reuse it on every pull. Don't have a prompt? Type a description and press Generate; Khint drafts one. With a Memory session active, the action already knows the product area and the decisions from earlier in your day, so the output is grounded without you re-explaining anything.

Why connect the tools instead of copy-pasting?

You can paste a Jira issue into a chatbot and paste the answer back by hand, but you'll do it again for the next issue, and re-explain the product context every time. Which tools can Khint connect to?

From the MCP page in Khint you can connect Atlassian (Jira and Confluence), Linear, Notion, Slack, and Gmail. Once a tool is connected, its rows appear in the palette behind Cmd+Shift+K, so pulling a Jira issue, posting to a Slack channel, or drafting a Gmail sit one shortcut away from whatever you are working on. The other direction also works: Khint runs its own MCP server, so Claude Desktop, Codex, or Cursor can read your active work session.

How do the connections authenticate?

It depends on the tool. Atlassian uses your email, an API token, and your cloud domain; Linear uses an API key; Notion and Slack take a pasted token; Gmail uses OAuth2 with a loopback redirect. Credentials are stored in your operating system's keychain. They are not synced to Khint's servers. The integrations are read and write, and they live entirely on your device.

What can I actually do once a tool is connected?

Reads pull work into Khint: Jira pull issue, active sprint, and search; Confluence pull page; Notion and Slack pull and search; Gmail pull thread and search. Can a workflow file the result for me automatically?

Yes. A Khint workflow chains up to five steps, and a step can be an integration write as well as an AI action. So a workflow can take raw notes, run an AI action to shape them into a ticket, then file that ticket to Jira or Linear or post it to Slack as the final step, all from one keystroke. The running text flows from each step into the next, so a trailing step can paste the created issue's link.

Does my data leave my device when I use an integration?

An AI action only ever sees the text you selected, plus the compacted summary of your active Memory session if you opted in. The tool connections themselves are local: credentials sit in the OS keychain and the integrations talk to Jira, Linear, and the rest directly from your Mac, with no Khint cloud relay. Khint's MCP server is local too: reads use a read-only database handle and writes go through a localhost loopback with a rate limit and an audit log.
