In Khint, a saved Action is a prompt you never rewrite: keep a 1:1 notes Action, a Postmortem Action, and an Interview feedback Action together in a management pack, and the palette shows exactly that set. You don't have to write the prompts from scratch: type a one-line description in the Action editor and press Generate, then refine with Improve. What can an engineering manager actually do with Khint?

The same palette captures any region of your screen to text, pulls a Slack thread or Jira ticket into your working context, and writes back: create the Linear or Jira issue, append to a Confluence page, or draft the update email in Gmail. Issue and page writes show a preview behind an explicit confirm, and the email lands as a Gmail draft you review before sending, so nothing lands in a tracker unread.
Can it keep context across my 1:1s, incidents, and standups?
That is what Memory sessions are for. Start a session for the day or for a specific thread of work, and every Action you run, every capture, and every ticket you file gets compacted into a short running context that later Actions can see. The postmortem you draft at 4pm already knows about the Slack thread you pulled at 10am. Sessions are explicit: you start and stop them, and Copy recap turns one into paste-ready notes whenever you need to report upward.
Does Khint join my meetings or record my screen in the background?
No. There is no meeting bot and no background recording. Khint acts only when you trigger it: an Action sees the text you selected, a capture sends only the screen region you chose, and a pull fetches only the thread or ticket you asked for. Memory sessions live in a local SQLite database and are never synced to a server, integration credentials stay in your OS keychain, and Actions can opt in to PII redaction before text reaches the AI.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. The free tier includes 10 AI actions per day and 5 screen captures per day, no credit card, and all the work integrations (Jira, Confluence, Linear, Notion, Slack, Gmail) are available on it.
