Notion is usually where a team's own writing lives, which means it is both a destination and a source. These four rows cover each direction once: publish or extend a page on the way out, pull a page or a search on the way in, and everything you pull lands in the session the next agent already reads.

Create an internal integration
Go to notion.com/my-integrations, create an internal integration, and copy its secret token.
Share your database with it
This is the step everyone misses. In Notion, open the database you want Khint to write to, click the ••• menu, then Connections, and add your integration. A database you have not shared is invisible to it.

Paste the token and Save. It goes into your operating system's keychain.
Pick your default database
Khint lists the databases the integration can see, which is exactly the ones you shared in step two. If the list is empty, that step is why.
Use it from the palette
Cmd+Shift+K, then Create page. Append to page, Pull page and Search can be switched on from the same card.
What it is allowed to do
It sees only what you shared
Notion's permission model is per-integration and opt-in: a database is invisible until you add the connection from its ••• menu. Khint inherits that exactly, which is why the database picker can be empty on a workspace full of pages.
Your token, your machine
The secret lives in your operating system's keychain and every API call goes from your Mac straight to Notion. Khint's backend never sees it.
Append adds, it does not rewrite
Append to page adds blocks to the end of a page. It does not read, reinterpret or regenerate the blocks that are already there, so the page you appended to keeps its structure.
The target is picked before the model runs
Create page asks for the database and Append asks for the page, both before a token is spent. Cancelling at the picker costs nothing.
Pause keeps the token
Turning the card off pauses the integration and hides its rows, keeping the token for an instant reconnect. Forget credentials is the separate destructive button.
Not a Notion sync
Khint does not mirror your workspace, watch for changes, or keep pages in step. It writes when you ask it to and reads when you ask it to, and Knowledge, if you switch it on, keeps its copy on your Mac.
Common questions about Notion and Khint
My database does not appear in the picker. Why?
Because it has not been shared with the integration. Notion integrations see nothing by default: open the database in Notion, click the ••• menu, then Connections, and add yours. The picker lists exactly the databases you have shared, so an empty list always means that step is missing.
How is this different from Notion AI?
Notion AI works on the page you have open in Notion. Khint works on whatever you have selected in whatever app you are in, and Notion is one of the places the result can land. The two answer different questions: improving a Notion page, versus getting something that is not in Notion into it.
Does Khint copy my Notion workspace?
No, unless you switch Knowledge on for Notion, and then only into a local full-text index on your Mac that never reaches our servers. Without it, a Notion page is in Khint only for as long as the local Memory session you pulled it into.
What does a Notion write cost?
The Notion call is free. Writing the page content from your selection is one normal agent run against your monthly credits. Pulls, searches and pickers cost nothing.
Can a workflow end in Notion?
Yes. Create Notion page and Append to Notion page are both workflow steps, so a chain can clean up your text and file it in one press. A parallel step can also write to Notion and Slack at the same time from the same running text.
